Powerful Grid Features

Most of the grids in Property Clerk Enterprise have the features listed below.
| • | Filter - The filter feature of the grid allows for the quick retrieval of data. On grids with the Filter feature available, click in the box below the column heading of the column that you want to filter data on. For example, if you want to filter all clients with the last name "Smith", click in the box below the column heading Last Name and type "Smith". Only those clients with "Smith" in their last name will display. |
| • | Group By - Any grid with the Group By feature enabled allows you to group the list of data by columns of your choice. For example, if you wanted to display all clients on the Manage Property screen by their type, click and hold your left mouse button on the column heading Type in the client list. Next, drag the column into the box with the caption, "Drag a column header here to group by that column." You can also group data within a group. For example, if you wanted to group clients by their type and then within that, by their status, simply drag the column heading Type into the box with the caption, "Drag a column header here to group by that column", followed by the Status column heading. |
| • | Sorting - Most of the grids within Property Clerk Enterprise have sorting capabilities built in. To sort by a particular column, simply click on the column heading. For example, if you wanted to sort all Bills by the date they were posted, simply click on the Date column heading. |
| • | Column Chooser - Some of the grids in Property Clerk Enterprise have the capability of hiding or displaying columns that you either want or do not want to see. To hide or display columns, click on the Click here to show Field Chooser button, located in the top right corner of the grid. Next, simply check or uncheck the columns to hide or display them. |
| • | Saving a Grid Layout - Whenever you see a Save Grid Layout button , you can save the way you have customized the layout of a grid. For example, if you have grouped the data by certain columns, or sorted the data a certain way, you can actually save the customization as a layout so that the next time you view the grid, it will display as you had customized it. These layouts are saved at a user level, so that each user that logs into Property Clerk Enterprise can customize the grids the way they desire to view the data. |
